Books have been important to me my entire life. My parents read to me and helped me learn to read before I started school. They would get books for me from the library from our mail-order library and let me buy books at our school’s book fair every year. By the first grade, I had a fourth grade reading level. I read and reread every book in our house. My appetite was insatiable.
I’m sure it came as no surprise to them when I decided to pursue an English degree in both undergraduate and graduate school. Needless to say, books are still a huge part of my life. I consume them. Devour them. In 2009, I read 45 books (you can see the list from the drop-down menu at the top). I probably could have read more but I didn’t. In my defence, several of those tomes were well over 1000 pages each. That’s a lot of reading. I had hoped to break 45 in 2010 (this list is also on the drop-down menu) but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. I’m a lot busier with other things this year. But that isn’t stopping me from trying.
If you are an upcoming author and need somebody to read and/or review your book, email me at wildwoodflwr at gmail. We will be able to work something out. I love to read and I’ll give anything a try.
From the drop-down menu on the navigation bar, you can find the lists of books read in 2009 and 2010. You will also find the linked list of book reviews I have published here on my blog. If you are interested in having me write a review for your blog or publication, please email me at wildwoodflwr at gmail. I am excited to work with you!
